I agree with Debbie. Let's go to Spokane! And give our Democrat friends a
Great big hug for turning Spokane in to a democrat voting County!

Subject: [LD22exec] State Convention location vote?
Dear All: We've been so busy discussing the presidential preference
primary that we've totally overlooked another vote that the SCM&W have
to make this weekend....
where to hold the 2008 State Convention! The two vying locales are
King Co (Bellevue) and Spokane.
What are your thoughts?
One of my co-officers of the Chairs' Org. is heading the King Co. move,
and another officer is active in the Spokane campaign. Puts me in a
spot, either way.
However, just going from the heart, I am thinking that Spokane would be
better, as it would draw focus to eastern WA and away from King Co,
which already has the impression of being the "seat" of WA State
Democrats. Plus, build attendance from the eastern part of the state.
And, if any candidates show up, they'll see a part of the state that
often is bypassed when the only campaign stop is Seattle. But, I don't
know for sure what would be best.
Please share your thoughts, especially if you are one who anticipates
attending the State Convention in 2008.
Thanks,
Debby
