[LD22exec] DNC Report

Hi all,
Here are the DNC reports.  They are from Ed Cote, Karen Marchioro and
Dwight Pelz.  The only one I have permission to distribute widely is the
Marchioro report.  The document with the chart from the NY Times is from
Karen.  

California is a done deal, they will move to Feb. 5th.  I expect
Illinois, Florida and New Jersey to do the same.  This should give a
boost to Richardson with the Latino vote.  

Clinton has formed a group of 17 special donors who will donate a 
million dollars each.  This fund raising tactic will remove her from the
other candidates who will need to organize on the grass roots level to
garner support.  

What this means is that it becomes more likely that a large enough
portion of the delegates will be allotted by March 4th that proportions
of delegates will remain the same until the national convention.  

It's possible but unlikely that Clinton will be the clear nominee by
March 5th.  More likely, no candidate will have a strong enough
delegation to synch the nomination before the convention.  This means a
brokered convention, which is the best outcome for party building
efforts.  We become the brokerees.

I think Washington will move from February 5th to Saturday the 2nd.  We
always have a better caucus turn out on Saturdays.
