[LD22exec] question re. presidential candidates, Meet Ups, etc.

Dear All: I am writing to check in w/ all of you re. 'Meet Ups' and 
presidential candidate preferences.
I heard at the last TCDCC meeting that Emmett and Ken Camp (?) were 
going to hold a Richardson
meet up, but I don't remember when. It may have already occurred.

Russ Olsen and I are preparing to hold a Barack Obama meet up on March 
11. We are renting a room at TESC.

Others may be planning additional meet ups (I have seen bumper stickers 
and buttons of late to "Draft Gore", for
instance). I thought that we should discuss ideas for locations / 
venues for 'Meet Ups' as we all ramp up for the presidential
race. I imagine that we will all be hearing from other Democrats, or 
interested 'anti-Bush / Cheney" voters, asking for info.
on candidates and local campaigns.

I do not who, if anyone, is working on / interested in the rest of the 
field of Democrats, beyond Richardson and Obama.
And, I am already frustrated with the lack of affordable meeting space 
to hold meet ups, meetings, forums, etc.

Back in `04, I did attend 'Meet Ups' for Kerry, but they were already 
set up by the time I found my way to one.
I later signed up on the 'Meet Up' site and hosted "Veterans for Kerry" 
meet ups, at my house, separate from the regular
Thurston Co. Kerry meet ups.

Were any of you involved in the initial `04 'Meet Ups', and if so, 
where did you meet?  The Kerry meet ups were
at Ramblin' Jacks, although my understanding is that the don't allow 
the use of that function room anymore...except for
dinners.

I think Dean's "Meet Ups" were at Tumwater Valley Bar & Grill, but that 
isn't on a bus line, which makes it hard for young people / students /
those w/out cars (or gas money) to attend.

So, please share any ideas / thoughts  on locations, as well as any 
affiliations with candidates that you may have. I think that
we definitely should be prepared to tell anyone who calls or emails who 
they can contact for info. on any of the Democrat candidate campaigns.
