Subject: [TCDforums] Poster and media advisory

Hello forumers,

So far we have our location and speakers lined up, what we need to focus 
on now is getting the word out. I've pasted below a draft media advisory 
and attached a poster. I also updated the post at TC Blue.

I'm going to email the poster around to a few places (I-933 campaign and 
envirotalk) and send out the advisory to the press, but I was wondering 
what you guys thought might work.

The Thurston County Democrats will hold a forum on October 19 on growth 
and environmental issues. The forum will include a discussion with the 
audience, moderated by State Senator Karen Fraser, following short 
presentations by a panel.

Speaking during the event will be:

Eric de Place, a senior research associate, with the Sightline Institute 
and blogger at the Daily Score (http://www.sightline.org/daily_score). 
He has written extensively about the property rights and the impact 
Measure 37 (a proposition similar to I-933) has had on Oregon.

David Trout, chair of the Nisqually River Council, a decades long effort 
to bring together residents of the Nisqually watershed to assure 
protected natural resources and a strong economy. The council recently 
released a sustainability plan that will advance these goals.

We will also a representative from the No on 933 campaign to update on 
the campaign.

Participants can also submit questions to the panel and start the 
discussion at the Thurston County Democrats' blog at 
thurstondemocrats.org/blue/
