[Thurston County YDs] Reminder! Thurston County Young Democrats August 9th Canvassing for Mike Rechner & BBQ Party

Hello Young Democrats in Thurston County:

Just a quick reminder to please join us for some campaigning & our BBQ party this coming Saturday, August 9th!  If you've never been out canvassing for a candidate before, this is a great way to start!  We'll go out in teams, get training beforehand, and help out a great candidate!  Canvassing is the most effective way to actually help our favorite candidates get votes!

The details are as follows - 

Join us at 2pm on Saturday to canvass for Mike Rechner, a candidate for the state legislature in the 20th legislative district in Thurston County.  We'll at the home of TCYD's Treasurer, Andy Ryder for a short training, and then head out to volunteer.  Our efforts will be followed by a party back at Andy's house (bring your ID; you'll need it if you want anything more than soda!) with food, drinks and music!

For those of you have want to know more about Mike - he's a former member of the U.S. Air Force and currently works for the state Department of Natural Resources on aquatic resource policy. Also, If you've never been canvassing before - don't worry, it's very easy.  We're just dropping off information about Mike in local communities and asking people to vote for him in the upcoming primary.
