Dear Young Democrat:



Please join us for the Thurston
 County Young Democrats
meeting this Friday, June 6th, at 8pm.  If you're interested in
volunteering with campaigns, registering new voters, or just meeting
other young people who are passionate and engaged in Democratic politics, this
is the place! 



We will be meeting again at the Thurston County Democrats Headquarters, 2120 Pacific Ave.
in Olympia.  On the agenda are the election of our
2008-2009 officers and further planning of our activities through this summer
and fall (see the list of upcoming events below).  We’ll also be recruiting volunteers to work
the Young Democrats’ shift at the Thurston County Dems’ Burger Booth on Pride
Day, June 20th!

June 13th-15th
– Washington State Democratic Convention in Spokane

If you’re heading to Spokane
for the State Convention, be sure to get in contact with Hillary or K.D. We
have proposed some significant changes to the Democratic Party Charter that
will help young voters achieve greater representation.  Oh, and we’ll introduce you to a bunch of
other fun young people to hang out with while we’re there!  

 

June 14th
– Demoburgers at Super Saturday!

The Young Democrats are recruiting volunteers to help make
burgers at the famous Thurston County Demoburger Booth at Super Saturday.  If you’d like to participate, please contact

June 20th –
Pride Day (Demoburgers and More!)

Pride Day – Once again, YDs are planning to volunteer for a
DemoBurger booth shift (time TBA). 
Please contact Hillary if you’d like to participate.  Never been to Pride Day but want to check it
out – feel free to join us in exploring the events after our shift in the
burger booth!

 

July 3rd –
Mingles Night 

Full details for this event are still in the works, but you
should mark off the evening of July 3rd to join other 21-35 year old
Democrats at a local pub for a meet, greet and political small-talk.  

 

July 10th  - TCYD Official Planning Meeting

Location TBA

 

July 12th -
YD Hike in Nisqually
 Basin

Details TBA.

 

July 16th-20th
- Lakefair!! Demoburgers!!

Schedule TBD.  

 

August 2nd
– Doorbelling and Major After-Event

Join us for some quality doorbelling on behalf of local
candidates.  Afterwards, we will be
having a big party (we promise it will be completely worth your while)!

 

August 19th  - PRIMARY DAY!
